Bulletin Board

BEFORE.....

Your FUTURE is only as BRIGHT as your FAITH
President Thomas S. Monson.

I have 2 callings in church.

One is the Family History Coordinator and second is keeping up with bulletin board.

I really loved the colors of green, black and white... So I did that for January, February and March.

Hummm thinking back now... that was a little springy. Oh well it was cute.

BUT NOW... I just changed it up. AND BOY IS IT BUSY AND BRIGHT.. not sure if I like it. I will leave it up for at least a month and then see if I can come up with something new.

ANY BODY HAVE ANY IDEAS... I'm up for them! :)

Smells Good

I'm so loving my TIDE with Febreze...
it is my new fav for the week.

I have several different ones, sport, with bleach or just plain fresh smell....

Wednesday Weigh In....

So THIS is how your suppose to weigh yourself, boy have I been doing it wrong!!
So this is the skinny of it all... no weight loss..
BUT... or should I say BUTT... ha ha I have lost inches in my bottom half.

Let's face it ladies, our bod's are just not that same after putting on 30 pounds,
3 babies, thyroid issues and a whole lot of chocolate, cookies and chips.
At least that's how it was and is for me.

During this journey, I have noticed that my bootie is not as square...
my hips are not as curvy... and that i'm o.k. with.
My tummy is starting to be a little flatter, working on that muffin top.
It is always the last to go, so i hear.....

I'm trying to stay positive and take each week, day, even hours
sometimes, making good choices on food.
I find it hard when my body is craving sweets an salty stuff...

I have lost a total of 5 inches
My BMI stayed the same. 23.3 %
(the trainer said it will stay the same until I actually loose weight)
NOW...
The real cool part that got me excited for this weeks weigh in was....
my Fat % went down and that ROCKS!
25.8% down to 25.4 %
Muscle weighs more than FAT!!!

My favorite pants are now loose on me.. and my ring is even loose again.
I'm pretty excited for the results... bummed that the scale isn't really moving but when she said I was building muscle that made it a little better.

My real smile comes from my man telling me i'm looking good!!!!
See ya next week ........

Thank You Heavenly Father....

I was laying in bed the other day and just felt so blessed. Have you ever just had one of those moments where you just felt like WOW, my life is so wonderful.
Of course we have the little stresses, little trials, bad days that seem like they could never end.
But REALLY ... my life if pretty dang good.
Steve and I over the years of marriage have had our roller coasters of FUN Trials, some we brought on ourselves with our choices and some we had NO CONTROL over...
Yet it still amazes me that no matter what the day holds our Heavenly Father is there to cheer us on, provide scriptures and stories, songs and inspirational angel friends to give us our daily dose of love.
I look around my home and I have so much, I'm thankful for beds for my children to lay there heads, a beautiful home that the spirit can teach us and nurture us. I'm so thankful for my 2 handsome, adventurous boys that are so full of life. So happy, so curious, so BUSY! These boys are my heart, they are my everything, they teach me, and I learn more and more about myself each day.
I'm thankful for a car that I can travel in, that will start each time I put the key in. I'm thankful for food on our table and land that we will be able to start a garden. I'm thankful for heat and air to keep our home comfortable. I'm thankful for schools to teach my children and I so enjoy having the time to work on homework with Hunter.
He is thriving right now and LOVES to learn, that makes me happy.

I'm thankful to be healthy! It is a miracle now a days to not have SOMETHING wrong, our bodies being over run by some kind of element. Over the past years of my life, I have been surrounded by words like toxemia, thyroid cancer, depression, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, feet, back and joint problems. But TODAY... I have to say, i'm blessed to not have anything hurting. My body feels pretty good. I'm putting healthy foods in the ONE body my heavenly father gave me. This is it... I better take care of it. So i'm thankful for the gift of being healthy.
Last on my list but first in my heart is my amazing wonderful HUSBAND.
He is my strength, he is the man that makes me laugh and smile.
I would not be complete without him... we are so different, yet so alike.
Our family laughs at the silliest things, our boys are hilarious when they play.. how wonderful it is two have to handsome wonderful boys that are best buddies.
I'm so blessed to have a man that loves me so dearly and amazingly (not sure how) but he sees me as the same beautiful woman that he married 8 years ago.
I could not have asked for a better Father for my children, a man that loves his boys so dearly.
I'm so blessed, and i'm thankful. The most important things in my life,
are my family and they will be with me for eternity.
No matter what happens on this earth I will always have MY FAMILY.
Thank you Heavenly Father for my countless blessings........
I love my life!
(p.s. Heavenly Father is you are reading this PLEASE...
don't do anything drastic to our family,
we are doing pretty good in the trial department.....
We are just thankful!!)

Super cute pops.....

I think i'm going to make these for
Hunter's Class Easter Party....

Cake pops are super cute . . . and very good. Kids of every age light up when they see them. They are perfect for a party but they will make any occasion special.

Cake pops are cake on a stick dipped in chocolate and then decorated. They are super easy. Just follow these directions.

What you'll need:

Step one: Bake them

Make the cake according to the recipe or package directions. If you want to flavor the cake, add 1 teaspoon of your desired flavor to the cake batter. Color the batter with food colors as well if desired. Bake it in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Let cool.

Step two: Mold them into balls

Put the cake into a large mixing bowl and break into small crumbs. Add 1/3 to 1/2 of your tub of frosting to the cake crumbs and mix together until it is moist enough to form balls. Your mixer works well. If desired, add another teaspoon of flavor and more food color. Use a medium-sized cookie scoop to make even balls of dough. Roll the dough in your hands to make smooth balls. Refrigerate the balls until firm.

Step three: Insert craft sticks into each ball

Go ahead and push them almost all the way down to the bottom. You want to make sure you don’t lose your ball while dipping. Sometimes it helps to dip the tip of your stick into the melted chocolate before dipping it into the ball. Flat craft sticks seem to hold the ball better as well.

Step four: Dip the balls in melted white chocolate

To melt the wafers, microwave in 15 second intervals stirring after each until they are smooth. Do not over do it. If you cook the chocolate it will not set up very pretty. Dip the pops into the melted chocolate completely. We don’t want to see any of the cake. Mugs work very well for these. They are the perfect size and the thick mug holds the heat in so that the chocolate stays warm for a while. They will no longer look shiny and will get a dull appearance when the chocolate is set up.

Step five: Decorate

Roll in sprinkles: Let the white chocolate set up a little bit before dipping them any sprinkles. If the chocolate is too drippy the sprinkles will drip right off your pop. Standard paper muffin liners worked well to set out all my jimmies. Only dip them half way up the pops so you can still see the white chocolate layer. Roll them in the jimmies if you have to. Let them cool and tie a ribbon on each stick. If you are not going to be serving them right away wrap each one individually in plastic wrap and then tie with the ribbons.

Drizzle in chocolate: Let the white chocolate set up before drizzling them in dark chocolate. Mel the dark choclate the same way melted the white chocolate. Pour the dark chocolate into adisposable decorating bag or ziploc. Firmly close the ziploc or tie the decorating bag witha wire twist tie. Cut a small hole in the corner of the ziploc or the and of the decoraing bag. Dizzle the chocolate over the pop in any design you would like.

Park Pals

My boys are fearless, curious and adventurous. Henry is in this climbing stage. He found the monkey bar at the playground and had no problem attempting to climb up it. He only needed mommy's help a little. One little fall and he was right back up in no time. Fearless I tell you.

Isaac can hang with the big kids. He liked the feel of the rubber, leaves and acorns in his hands.... oh and also wanted to see how it tasted. ( Not so good) What a sweet precious little guy.
The boys tried to convince Millie they were not really going so fast... she was not having it. :) I love Millie's spunk and also how girlie and beautiful she is.
Best buddies.....

Henry had the right idea... get everyone else to PUSH HIM...
he laughed so hard when Millie would dance and make funny noises.

Superman! I could not stop laughing at the way Henry tried to swing. He would keep his arms in the back and always fall forward. It is the funniest thing. So silly.

Hunter's favorite St. Patricks Day treat... rainbow cupcakes.

A son's BEST FRIEND.... his daddy.

Daddy's are great for wrestle mania!
Airplane rides in the sky....
Henry was the "Toot monster"..... they laughed so hard.

CaMpInG!!!

Hunter and his daddy have the best campouts.
They camp about 30 mins down the road. Easy, convenient and fun.
They always have s'mores and pizza for dinner.
Then there tradition is to go to some good ol country breakfast place
(A&A- it almost sounds like a truck stop.... LOL).
NICE AND GREASY.. .ha ha
Check out those pretty awesome Iron Man "SNAKE" boots. Too cute!
(Hunter calls all his boots snake books, just incase they run into a snake at the woods and the snake won't be able to bite him).

RIDING IN STYLE...
Guy Time! Riding, Riding, Riding.. that is what they do. They just ride around the woods, spot animals and talk. It is just some good quality bonding father son time.

Tallahassee bound.....

Hunter and his Daddy always have to make a pit stop at the big machinery shop.

My "boys" give a new meaning to
"BOYS AND THERE TOYS".

Hunter loves heavy machinery,
and can pretty much name ALL of them.

Steve took all the cute pictures...

Look how big this machine is!!!!! AND the DANGER SIGN!!!

FSU Games.......... Hunter's smile say's it ALL.
(Oldie but good pics from the fall football season, just got off of Steve's phone)

Happy St. Patricks Day!!!

http://eighteen25.blogspot.com/2011/02/im-so-lucky.html

You guessed it… Mint Oreo Truffles ummmmm… good. These might even be better than the originals (well, maybe). And, they’re just as easy to make, but because I could only find the mint Oreos in Double Stuf, I changed the ratios a little from the regular Oreo Truffle recipe. Here you go…

Mint Oreo Truffles

1 pkg. Double Stuf Oreos – Cool Mint Flavor – (1 lb. , 1 oz. pkg.)
• use 22 cookies with cream centers included
• use 10 cookies with cream centers discarded
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, room temperature
chocolate bark or candy coating*

  1. Finely crush the cookies in a food processor or a ziploc bag with a rolling pin.
  2. Stir in softened cream cheese. Use the back of a large spoon to help mash the two together completely.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1″ balls and place on wax paper covered cookie sheet.
  4. Place covered in freezer or refrigerator for a few minutes to help retain shape when dipping in melted chocolate.
  5. Melt chocolate as directed on the package and then dip balls into chocolate, tap off extra and set aside on wax paper covered cookie sheet to dry.
  6. Refrigerate and enjoy!

Seeing Results....

I have a greater respect for individuals that loose weight. The dedication and hard work that comes along with it is huge!

I have really, really, REALLY tried to loose but not just loose weight but GET HEALTHY.

I have learned more about food, that it is not just fun to eat, but food is fuel for your body. We need to put the right foods in our bodies to make them run correctly.

I went in and did my Body mass Index and I noticed that I didn't change anything.. so I was so confused. Why was I working so hard with exercise and eating only to be disappointed with no change.

I sat down with a trainer and he explained alot to me. He said that if I don't eat the right foods, protein, etc. then my body would take what it needed from my muscles and I would not see good results. I could eat veggies till i'm green in the face but what my body needed was the protein to repair the muscle that I was building and also have the yummy veggies and good fruits.

Wow, I really did learn alot... I went home and applied it... And wouldn't you guess it, I saw results.....

Monday 3/8 Monday 3/14
Fat 27.4% Fat 25.8%
BMI 25.8 % BMI 23.3%

Lost 1 Pound

It has been harder than I thought since my doctor took my off of complete cardio, which is a huge help with loosing weight. I'm on strict orders for 4 weeks. NOT A GOOD TIME TO HURT MY FEET... :(

I'm trying to make the best of it. Using free weights, eating the right food to fuel my body correctly and having fun. I have loved the excitement of this experience.

Houdini Henry

Henry is our little Houdini....
One day I put Henry down for a nap. I then went to go take a shower. You can only imagine my surprise when I looked down to Henry coming into the shower.
I could have sworn I shut his door....
A couple of days go by and Henry was a little fussy, totally fighting a nap. So I just put him in his room LIKE NORMAL and I thought he would go to sleep.
Ummmmmm, not even 5 minutes goes by and I heard the sound of little foot steps on the wood floor. I was kinda laughing inside....
That little stinker totally knows how to open the door.
Really, this kid is not even 2 yet!!
Henry has a new trick for sure.....and boy are we in trouble.

A FUN Class Project

My friend Dawn is in a photography class and asked me to be the model.

All this model stuff if harder than ya think.... I had to get up at 5:30 am on Saturday and be at the pool at 6:30 it was cold and let me tell you.. it was hard holding my self up.
We sure did laugh alot.

The night shot wasn't so bad, no one was around to see me TRY to model... look sexy, WHAT.. I don't know how to look sexy. I just kept trying to think of what REAL models faces would look like... silly me. :)

Our final shot was over by the wall on 34th street... now that was funny. Trying to get on the ground with cars flying by us and people of course had to yell out of there cars. Those pics turned out to be pretty cool with all the colors on the wall.

Over all it was fun, a neat experience! Dawn is a great photographer, Oh and she got a big whopping "A" for her grade. Yeah!!!
