Our Silly Sister Birthday Bash!

This is a picture of ALL the sister's in my family... We missed you Jacqueline and Audrey at the birthday bash night, it just wasn't the same with out you!! I'm up for doing it again?!?!?! :) LOL

I haven't laughed so hard as I did the other night out with my sisters. We celebrated Emily's birthday at TGI Fridays. We munched on the Fridays sampler and picked 3 delicious dessets and shared them. They sang to her and we just laughed, joked, and chatted up the night. We also took some fun pics of us being silly, who else in the world can you be this silly with and it be o.k... We didn't have a care in the world that night it was so nice to just be free to have fun and relax. I just love these ladies they are my best friends. We are truly blessed to have each other.

On the road AGAIN!!!!

Yep, we are on the road again! I tell ya we just can't stay home. This weekend Steve, Hunter and Alicia went to Tampa to spend some time with Steve's Granny who is 92. She is so sweet and wonderful. We love all getting together with family at her home. Steve got to spend some time talking with her and he said as she talked she held his hand it was so genuine and a special memory. Granny loves to tell stories so she could be talking to ya all day. We also celebrated Grace's birthday.. she is so dang cute.. Grace turned 3 and Hunter just loves her. They had a great time playing. We also got to visit the St. Louis Whites. (steve's oldest brothers family) We miss them a ton so this really was a fun filled time with cousins, aunts, uncles, Nana and Papa). We are so blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives!

Father's Day Fun!

We had a great day celebrating daddy! Hunter picked out the perfect basketball hoop so they can play together and mommy cooked a special breakfast and dinner. It was hard to keep it all a secret, Hunter kept saying things about the balloon and hoop.. Steve was totally surprised still so it was fun. Hunter walked daddy into the living room with his eyes closed and then yelled surprise.. it was so dang cute. Hunter loves to make cards so he made daddy several cards. Steve is such an amazing dad and shows so much love to Hunter. We are blessed to have such a fun loving daddy! Happy Father's day Steve.

Fridge Mania

You guessed it.... The other day I came into the kitchen only to find Hunter thinking and staring down all the food in the fridge. Hunter has figured out that he can open the fridge and get whatever his little heart desires. You see he is in the freezer... he spotted the ICECREAM... Oh boy are we in trouble. Now when I'm around the house I can hear him checking out his breakfast,lunch, dinner & snack selection... Mommy and Daddy's big boy!

I learn something new every day!!

I have learned how to blanch food. yahooo!!! We are so blessed with a garden... that gives us LOTS of food. So much food that I needed to learn how to store it. Ya just can't freeze it.. it doesn't work that way, I learned the hard way with ice on our last years veggies. Hummmmm So I chatted with my friend Lauren about Blanching food and between her and I that didn't get me quit what needed so on to calling my mom. She gave me all the details... and a paper for future foods. It was pretty cool. You just cut up the food put it in boiling HOT water for 3 mins then 3 mins in ICE COLD water. Dry it off and put it in storage bags. It is pretty cool that we have veggies stored for awhile. I surprise myself sometimes when I do this kind of stuff.. I feel like a pioneer woman... that little homemaker that I am. LOL
