"See" A Good Day Challenge - Day 1

I went to the mall to return something and as i'm walking past Hallmark I remembered I needed a card. Mind you ... it was close to Henry's nap time....Henry was starting to be a little fussy but I thought surely I can pick out a card fast.

As I walk in Henry is getting a little more fussy. SO i'm walking in circles, rolling him faster and faster and trying to find a card as i'm going in circles... oh yes it was quit entertaining. Then I said outloud " Oh Henry, I just need one more minute".

The lady at the counter sayes "Oh we have a Henry" and in a little bit of frustration I answered "Oh Yes!!". I think she could tell that I was having a trying mommy moment!

About 10 secs later and I said to Henry... "o.k. o.k. we will do this later" and then I started to walk out.

That sweet woman stopped me and said ... "Mommy, here ya go" and she handed me a FREE card, a simple yet perfect card that totally hit the spot. It was perfect for what I needed!

Her simple and sweet KINDNESS totally made me leave the mall with a better attitude, a huge smile on my face and most of you know me... I did get a little teary eyed. It totally inspired me do something special and KIND for someone else.

Tender Mercies Of The Lord

"See" A Good Day...

One of the many messages that I walked away with from "Time Out For Woman" was not only Have a Good Day.. But to SEE a Good Day!

They gave us a 30 day challenge to "See A Good Day"!

See the good and positive blessings that the lord is giving you. I also want to focus on the "good" in my day. What I was grateful for. The small and simple joys, that SO OFTEN get missed in my daily routine.

You will see how the lord is looking down on you, watching you and you can feel his love.

Wanna join me doing the challenge? I would love to hear about it.

Being Creative With Nature

We have had the best weather this week! It was a perfect day to go on a nature walk. The kids found sticks and loved exploring down the road. Hunter had the best time pushing his "little baby" as he calls him. We ended up making bird nests and Easter Egg trees with there findings. It was a fun filled afternoon.

Magically Colorful

Any body's birthday coming up...

Temple Square Mission

I'm so excited for my sister Audrey (Lauren) to be serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enters the MTC on May 26.

Audrey is the most Humble, Loving, Giving and Spiritual person I know. She is so beautiful inside and out, her spirit truely shines. I know she will be a great tool in the Lord's hand. Teaching people the gospel will come naturally for her.

( My brother... her twin Jason is also on a mission right now serving in Peru. You can only imagine his excitement when she told him! )

Here's what little leprechauns look forward to on St. Patrick's Day

A magical snack that can add color to the grayest March afternoon.

Hunter had fun making these cupcakes... the best part was licking the BOWL!

He had fun putting the food color and making the different bowls... his response at the end watching them bake and then opening the cupcake was precious... he was SO excited to see all the colors.

Ingredients
White cake mix (we used an 18-1/4-ounce box)
Food coloring (red, blue, green, and yellow)
Baking cups
Whipped cream (optional)
X
Instructions
Prepare your favorite white cake mix, then divide the batter evenly among six small bowls. Following the chart below, dye each bowl of batter a rainbow color.

RAINBOW COLOR DROPS OF FOOD COLORING
Purple 9 red and 6 blue drops
Blue 12 drops
Green 12 drops
Yellow 12 drops
Orange 12 yellow and 4 red drops
Red 18 drops

Line 16 muffin pan wells with baking cups. Evenly distribute the purple batter among the cups, then the blue, and so on, following the order shown. As you go, gently spread each layer of batter with the back of a spoon to cover the color underneath.

Bake the cupcakes according to your recipe directions. Before serving, remove the paper wrapping, and if you like, top each cupcake with a whipped-cream cloud.

I printed this page out in Black and White..Hunter enjoyed coloring one of these leprechaun puzzle pages. Then we cut it out and had fun putting it together. Fun ideas!

Believe

Most of you know I just LOVE Hilary Weeks, I enjoy her music so much, it has been a healer for me over time, a joy in my life and NOW I get to read a book she wrote. It is called "Believe in what you're doing, Believe in who you are"!

I joked with my sister in law Ashlea, that I need "self help" books... positive uplifting books that help remind me of my "goal" on this earth. I guess you could say I have to "regroup" alot and keep getting on the right path closer to my Heavenly Father. Positive books like this remind me that the Lord LOVES ME, and I can be that good mom, wife, friend and daughter of God with peace in my heart.

In the first chapter she writes about a song created for woman... "Who You Are".

I know you wonder if you'll ever have a day
Where the kids stay calm, the laundry's done,
and the dishes are put away
And sometimes you feel like your days are spent and gone
And the question running through your mind
is, "What have I gotten done.?
And when you finally have a moment to slow down
At the end of your day
I know Father would say
Believe in what you're doing
Believe in who you are
Hold tight to the truth that you're a daughter of God
Believe in who you're becoming
Believe in who you are
It may seem simple - all the little things you do
But the lives you touch matter so much and there's no one else like you
And Father needs you to stand tall and faithful
Be all you can be
Oh, if you could see what He sees
You'd believe in what you're doing
You'd believe in who you are
So hold tight to the truth that you're a daughter of God
Believe in who you're becoming
Believe in who you are
When it's hard to believe in yourself
And you feel like you're beginning to doubt
Remember
He believes in what you're doing
He believes in who you are
Don't lose sight of the truth that you're a daughter of God
He believes in who you're becoming
He believes in WHO YOU ARE

~ A. S. H. L. E.A~

A- Always smiling.

S - Selfless

H - Humble

L - Loving

E - Energetic

A - Amazing

This weekend with Ashlea and Family I had so much fun, laughing, having girl talk, eating donuts, chasing kids, trying to do exercise video's (while the babies were screaming), being uplifted at the Time Out For Woman, and just being sisters.

Ashlea amazes me more and more each time I'm around her. Her beautiful smile, Humble heart, and soft spoken voice brightens my day every time I'm with here. I met Ashlea back in the singles ward in Gainesville. I went to her baptism before I really ever knew her. I have enjoyed getting to know her more and more over time.... By the way she carries her life, the great example of a daughter of God you would think she was a member all her life. She is selfless and she serves all around her always giving to others. Her family is her love and the savior is the center of her home. She is genuine, a teacher of the gospel, great morals, love and laughter. She is so beautiful on the outside, yet the glow from her spirit is what lights my day when I'm around her. I know people are placed in our lives for us to learn from, I truly love Ashlea and I learn and live by her example constantly. She is such a fantastic mother, so patient, loving, caring and nurturing. I would love to have just a pinkie full of creativity and skills that she has. I'm so grateful to have Ashlea as my sister and my friend. Thanks Ashlea for loving my children as much as I do, we had a blast at your home this weekend. I love you girl!

Time Out For Woman....

Time out for Woman was AMAZING! I love just being around woman who inspire me, and hearing the words of uplifting speakers. Woman and Men that have daily trials just like you and me. The lord loves each of us and sometimes just uses others to "relate" the things we need to hear in our lives or that one song that will just make us smile. I had a great time! Thanks Iris for treating the daughter in laws, we love you!

Amazing woman! Mercy River! Loved them! I had never heard them until this weekend and I just had to get there CD. They are beautifual woman with great talented voices and they live daily struggles and joy's that we do as mom's ,wife's and daughter's of God. There CD was perfect, to give me that extra boost in my day.. I love it!

My Sista's! I loved being able to see my sisters there. So beautiful inside and out. I miss them so much when we have to leave... They sure do make me smile!

DeAnne Flynn
Positive Energy!
That is all I can say about this sweet woman. I LOVED her postive energy, bubbly personality and beautiful smile. I found myself drawn to want to just meet her and use her tools in life for raising kids, and follow her as a mother, daughter of God and Woman. Really, really cool lady!

S. Michael Wilcox...
Iris and Ashlea were so amazed with that man! "Hope is something we create consciously". He was a great speaker. So inspiring and gave you something to work towards!

Marima Kallon
Amazing! That is the word I thought about this woman! She was just amazing, from her stories you just knew the lord was walking right behind her. She was a chosen woman to come before us this weekend and share her stories, testimonies and Hope to help others and serve them. She just inspired me to do so much more in my life.

Sweet Shannon! I was so excited when I saw Shannon in the mix of sooo many ladies. I enjoyed catching up about her life, adorable kids and getting a big hug. Shannon is someone that always leaves ya smiling when she is done talking to you. I love her and miss her in Gainesville!
