Here are some of the scriptures I highlighted that were my favorite:
Mosiah 24: 13-16
13 And it came to pass that the voice of the Lord came to them in their afflictions, saying: Lift up your heads and be of good comfort, for I know of the covenant which ye have made unto me; and I will covenant with my people and deliver them out of bondage.
14 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.
15 And now it came to pass that the burdens which were laid upon Alma and his brethren were made light; yea, the Lord did strengthen them that they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with cpatience to all the will of the Lord.
16 And it came to pass that so great was their faith and their patiencethat the voice of the Lord came unto them again, saying: Be of good comfort, for on the morrow I will deliver you out of bondage.
Mosiah 27:36 And thus they were instruments in the hands of God in bringing many to the knowledge of the truth, yea, to the knowledge of their Redeemer. 37 And how blessed are they! For they did publish peace; they did publish good tidings of good; and they did declare unto the people that the Lord reigneth.
Mosiah 29:20 But behold, he did deliver them because they did humble themselves before him; and because they cried mightily unto him he did deliver them out of bondage; and thus doth the Lord work with his power in all cases among the children of men, extending the arm of mercy towards them that put their trust in him.
President Spencer W. Kimball reminded us, "The Lord does notice us, and he watches over us. But it is usually through another person that he meets our needs. Therefore, it is vital that we serve each other." ("President Kimball Speaks Out on Service to Others," New Era, Mar. 1981, p.47).
The past couple of weeks have been good/bad/overwhelming/happy/peaceful and eye opening. Lots of emotions!!
As I continue to read the scriptures and try to stay on the challenge that I'm participating in, i'm reminded once again of the Lords love for his sons and daughters.
While reading Mosiah chapters 1-3 I was just AMAZED how many times it said "Keep my commandments".
There is SO many great promises and words in these chapters. We are reminded to be Humble, Repent, and Serve Others. I loved reading these chapters!
Mosiah Chapter 2
22 And behold, all that he arequires of you is to bkeep his commandments; and he has cpromised you that if ye would keep his commandments ye should prosper in the land; and he never doth dvary from that which he hath said; therefore, if ye do ekeep his fcommandments he doth bless you and prosper you.
23 And now, in the first place, he hath created you, and granted unto you your lives, for which ye are indebted unto him.
24 And secondly, he doth arequire that ye should do as he hath commanded you; for which if ye do, he doth immediately bbless you; and therefore he hath paid you. And ye are still indebted unto him, and are, and will be, forever and ever; therefore, of what have ye to boast?
31 And now, my brethren, I would that ye should do as ye have hitherto done. As ye have kept my commandments, and also the commandments of my father, and have prospered, and have been kept from falling into the hands of your enemies, even so if ye shall keep the commandments of my son, or the commandments of God which shall be delivered unto you by him, ye shall prosper in the land, and your enemies shall have no power over you.
41 And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and ahappy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are bblessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out cfaithful to the end they are received into dheaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it.
As my week went on my dear friend Amber sent me this link of President Uchtdorf at the General RS broadcast on Sat. night. Oh my goodness, it was perfect, it was exactly what I needed to hear. If you haven't listened to this talk yet, I would encourage you to take some time to listen and be uplifted. Amber also sent me this song, I sure feel like this sometimes. I'm happy to say, it is getting easier.
My week continued with my amazing friend Lauren surprising me with a bag full of goodies. Cookies that where PERFECT to just sit and munch on when I just needed some "comfort" in my life.... and a candle that refreshed my mood, and brightened my day. My home smells divine!
Thanks Lauren for being a tool in the Lords hand just when I needed it that day, shoot EVERYDAY!! I know you are always only a phone call away and mins away to come get a big hug.
And finally, These two amazing woman came to visit me. Yes. they have the label of "visiting teachers'. this to is just another way the Lord has set in place to make sure his daughters are not lost.
We sat and talked for over an hour and of course I cried, I felt the spirit so strong. I'm so thankful that they came.
I have really needed that visit. It was like the Lord knew that I needed someone that day to come just give me a hug and remind me who I was. That I was loved, and that no matter what, I would be o.k................

Me and My Honey!
Haley Faith White - November 20, 2003
Our Daughter Haley went back to heaven the day she was born. Our family misses her so dearly and knows she is in a special place with her Savior and Father in heaven. We have found peace thru faith and prayer that we will see and have our perfect precious daughter again. Haley is our angel that watches over our family. We can't wait for that great reunion in heaven!
