Gator Homecoming 2010

Schools out! Alicia and Hunter wereheaded to the Gator Homecoming Parade. Hunter wanted to wear his FSU shirt and I said NOPE! It is a Gator Parade. So after 10 mins of discussion he finally settled with a Halloween shirt. (at least it had orange in it)



We went with the Towers and Booher Families. We had the perfect spot, it was great weather and we all had our GATOR spirit ready to cheer. Actually a certain "SEMINOLE FAN" was not to happy at all the "GATOR NOISE"! (Those where Hunter's exact words) He said "mommy I want to go home, I'm tired of hearing all this gator noise". I hate the Gators. NICE!!! He sure is a die hard seminole.

It was a nice relaxing afternoon. Picnic lunch, friends and great weather! What more could you ask for.


O.k. is the police man going to just RUN OVER our kids. Hello he was soooo close. Hunter was like i'm outta here... he started to move.

My Cravings...

This has been my craving for the past 2 weeks. I just love snacking on yogurt covered pretzels. I seriously can't get enough! What are your cravings???

Really is this kid 5!!!!

Hunter's newest interest is in Archery!! Sometimes i'm just amazed at the talent our kid has. O.k. Really, what kid has the coordination to ride a 4-wheeler, shoot a bow and arrow, catch a fish and (give his mom lots of attitude) at age five :). O.k. so the attitude part has been going on since age 4 and i'm sure it will continue till he is 18!!. ha ha ha

He also learned to ride a bike in 1 day, he just took off... He learned to tie his shoes all by himself when he was just passed his 5th birthday. I know I was NEVER like this. (Don't get me wrong.. it makes me crazy all the stunts he does, and the way he has no fear and so much confidence....)

Oh but yes, I'm a pretty proud momma!

Puzzle Time

I was cleaning Henry's room this morning and I looked over, only to find this.....

He had climbed right up on his little chair, sat down, and started playing with his puzzles. Of course more puzzle pieces found there way to the floor. (come on that is much more fun to watch the lion & truck, etc... spiral to the ground).

As soon as I got the camera, he had smiles to share. Oh, this kid gets cuter by the minute.

Family & Friends Night at the Pumpkin Patch

Our family went to the pumpkin patch with our dear friends the Lowry family. We had so much fun watching the kids play.Hunter and Millie were so cute together, holding hands and giggling. My favoriate of course was taking adorable pictures of the kids and enjoying the cooler weather. Joe and Steve took the kids on a hayride and helped pick out the perfect pumpkin. Perfect ending to our day.

Halloween Party Time...way fun ideas!

Our family is having a Halloween party and I had SOOOO much fun surfing the web. It helps me put my ideas and thoughts together... not to mention, get the cutest ideas!

It's that time again!! Pumpkin Carving....

Cookie-Cutter Pumpkin Carving
Before you begin, carefully cut a circle around the pumpkin stem, lift off the lid and remove the seeds from the lid and inside the pumpkin.


1.Place a cookie cutter on the pumpkin and tap firmly with a rubber mallet until at least half of the cutter has pierced the pumpkin's shell. (If the pumpkin shell is thin, the cutter may be pounded all the way through the shell.)

2.Remove the cookie cutter, using a needle-nose pliers if needed.

3.With a small serrated knife (or the serrated saw from a pumpkin carving kit), follow the pattern made from the cookie cutter to cut out the image, making sure to cut all the way through the shell.

4.With one hand inside the pumpkin, push out cookie cutter image from the pumpkin and discard.

5.Place candle inside pumpkin and secure to bottom with hot wax.

1.Mark a dot design using a template or straight edge.

2.Drill dot holes with electric screw-driver or cut out design with knife.

3.Place candle inside pumpkin and secure to bottom with hot wax.

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

For many years we have been counseled to have a years supply of food in case of an emergency. To help determine how prepared we are, the Stake Presidency invites all members of the Gainesville Florida Stake to live the next week on the supply of food that they currently have in their homes. This challenge will go from now through supper time on October the 16th. This of course means that there should be no eating out or store visits during the coming week.

For any who want to extend the difficulty of the challenge, we invite you to live totally off of your ?basic food storage? that which you would have after the food in your pantry and freezer is exhausted.

At the conclusion of the week we would like to receive reports on how you and your families fared. Please send your experiences right away to President Bruce Davis at bwdcougar@bellsouth.net or share them with another member of the Stake Presidency.
