My special gift box!

Today I got the neatest package in the mail. I was so excited to see a box with my name on it, it was from my precious mother & sweet amazing sister & best friend Bethany. As I opened the box it seemed like it was never ending with goodies! I first found a pair of beautiful RED candle holders. Then a gift box with a georgious necklace and matching earrings(which was funny to me because I have been looking for a teal necklace and earrings.) They are beautiful. Lots of yummy candy, I ate the cadberry carmel first... ummmm good. As I continued to unwrap the packages in the box I was so full of excitment and graditude, then to find some good smelling relaxing lotion and body spray. My next package was the funny movie "rat race" and then topping off my fun filled box was a book called inspiration. I can't wait to read it. This truly made my day, heck my whole week. This past week has been a rollercoaster of emotions and decisions to have surgery or not to remove the cancer. The week was spent with doctor appts, getting blood work done and not getting much sleep I was becoming very tired and drained. I'm truly greatful for them and the time spent on putting this gift box together. They have listened to me on the phone and went a step further to touch my heart even living so far away. It has brightened and lifted my spirits, my day, and filled my heart. Thanks Bethany and Mom!!! I love you!

Feeding the Ducks

The only way I could get Hunter to take a nap was to tell him that we would go feed the ducks when he woke up. OH... and he sure did remember when he woke up. The first thing Hunter said was feed ducks when he got up... Smart little guy! We made it a family night.

How much can a mom get done during NAP TIME?!?!

I was so impressed with how many things can get done during NAP TIME! Yesterday I felt like cinderella. Within Hunter's 2 hour nap this is what I got done!
1. cleaned the bathroom
2. organized the closet
3. dusted
4. 2 loads of laundry - folded and PUT AWAY! That is huge!
5. cleaned kitchen
6. checked email
7. picked up living room full of toys, pillows everywhere
8. AND to top it off I got to chat with Lacy for a few minutes (uninterrupted ;))

It was so rewarding to look around the house and see everything in it's right place, all clean and smelling good. My prince charming came home and noticed how nice the house looked, that is so nice to hear and makes it all worth it when my honey likes how our home looks.... Yeah for NAPS!

God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.
If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

Kid Crazy!

Hunter had a fun filled couple of days with his cousin Grace and his buddy Gordon. (not to mention the other friends that came over.. Ashlyn and Joseph)Grace got to our house and they just ran to each other and hugged it was so dang cute! Gordon's mom and dad went on a cruise so we got to have his for a few days.. he was so adorable, he fit right in with our family. I first have to say HAT'S OFF to all MOM'S with more then 1 Kid! (which is half of my friends) On Thursday and Friday I had 4 kids. 3 under the age of 2-1/2. Oh yeah was I totally insane!?!? ALMOST! Actually we had a good time! To see these little ones, play, scream, SLEEP and show how precious it is to be a child. And watch the way they grow, think, and laugh between each other. I enjoyed learning from them and being the ref between them also. :) We got to do lots of fun things. I sure have a great respect for mom's that have more than one kid let alone 4..... Enjoy the pics it was a fun time for us, bon fires, wave runners, mall trips and lots of PLAYING! Hunter has woken up several time now and asked for his cousin grace and he wants to go play with Gordon! Oh what precious relationships they are building. I'm greatful for the joy that little ones bring and the way they humble us. So innocent and yet so WILD! :) we loved having both of them...

Celebrating our 5 year anniversary!!

Steve and I got married in the Orlando Temple on January 25, 2003.
We looked back at all the adventures that we had and we have been real busy.
1. Steve ventured in selling insurance, Alicia worked at an engineering firm.
2. We got pregnant, and had our precious daughter Haley, then the lord called her home - now she is in heaven watching over us. ( THIS WAS OUR GREATEST TRIAL EVER)
3. Steve changed job careers... started selling cars.
4. We tear down our Mobile Home and live in 5th wheel...
(oh yeah that was the highlight of the 5 years... NOT!!!!) LOL LOL LOL
5. Get pregant again.. had our adorable son Hunter.
6. Built a house moved IN!!
OUR FIRST HOME THAT DOESN'T HAVE WHEELS SO NO ONE CAN DRIVE IT AWAY WITH US IN IT. :)LOL

7. Steve and his brother survive a crazy truck accident.
8. Alicia gets cancer... not so fun.. radiation 2 times... now surgery.
9. Steve working on opening a car lot
10.We got to travel to some fun places with family and friends.
BEST OF ALL WE LOVE EACH OTHER. WE ARE SO BLESSED TO HAVE OUR SON AND AN ETERNAL FAMILY. We know and feel that the lord has had his hand in ALL that we have done over the 5 years and consider our family loved, blessed and watched over.

We celebrated our anniversary by going to dinner (macaroni grille) then a play at the performing arts center (Annie). It was a fun night, we spent it with our friends Joe and Lacy.

We have grown in many ways,,, not to mention our waist lines. :) What a great 5 years with ups and downs and never a dull moment. At night we just cuddle up and know that no matter what the challenge or joy we have each other to walk the path. I tell you humor and laughter has been our greatest medicane during the 5 years. Steve truly is my best friend and love of my life. He is the most amazing man!
Happy Anniversary to us! We are excited for the next 5 years!

1 little monkey swinging on the curtain... momma called DADDY and DADDY said... NO MORE MONKEYS swinging on the curtains.....Hunter was so busted!!

So all you mothers out there that leave the room only for second and think humm what could possibly happen.....here is one for you. We have told Hunter so many times not to play in the curtains and I came back in the living room and caught him being superman swinging from both curtains. Needless to say from the picture we will need a new rod... daddy isn't to happy about that. Wow I have the sweetest and most hiper child in the world. What a boy he is... Hunter must get it from his daddy... hee hee hee. :) I just laugh when I look at the picture of him swinging.

To Be Hunter for a day!

Hunter and mommy had a fun filled day planned starting with his buddy Joseph coming over to play... They were construction workers, train conductors and to top it off they ran a garage. Putting gas in the car, taking it up the elevator and driving them back down. It was fun watching the boys play together, making the zroom, zroom and peep peep sounds.
They loved to dance to the wiggles and sing the songs. We sang the wheels on the bus and they both tried hard to go UP and DOWN.. it was cute to watch. It is great to know that Hunter has a buddy to play with and will grow up with in Gainesville.

Then later on in the afternoon my friend Amber and her adorable kids came over and played. They Jumped on the trampoline, played on the swing set and Amber's little explorer Reese found Hunter's dirt pile and tasted it. Then we finished the night off with ALL the kids getting baths and eating dinner together. I just have to say that i'm going to miss Amber and her family SOOOO Much!! We have to treasure these fun and crazy times with kids running around.

Hunters Corner

Hunter keeps mommy and daddy on our toes and keeps us laughing all the time.

The other day Hunter was watching "bear in the big blue house" and a song came on and I started singing it with him and he turned around and said - mom Shhhh and that was with his pointer finger at me. I couldn't help but laugh.
Hunter's favorite movies right now are.... (you won't believe it).. Old yeller!!
Bob the builder, Monster trucks, Barney, (some cartoons in the morning) and to top it off he was watching "where the red fern grows" yesterday morning... I'm raising a country redneck!
(He gets all these "country" movies from his DAD) :) He is for sure ALL boy.

Hunter is doing great with learning all his shapes, colors and numbers. He is now counting to 6 and his favorite color is yellow.
Hunter loves to be OUTSIDE, kicking the ball. ANY BALL it doesn't matter he just kicks it. We have a little soccer star on our hands.

The rollercoaster week - Cancer results

1/7/08

Monday I went and got my 4 month cancer scan. ( I can't believe it has been 4 months already) This scan will tell me if the 2nd dose of radiation worked. I have so many emotions going on right now, I don't know where to begin. I'm scared that I might have to have surgery, i'm excited that perhaps this new year will bring new adventures (perhaps a new baby if the scan is clean). I'm also nervious to have another dejvu of the whole process. I leave it all in the lords hands. I feel he has brought me to this trial and he will bring me thru it. Thanks to all those that have called and prayed for us. Thanks Lauren for loving my son and watching him while I went thru the scan and Thanks Amber for being so willing to bring Hunter into your home when Steve and I get the results. I know Hunter is like one of your own kids close to your heart so that helps give me peace when he is with you, I know he is in good hands with my wonderful frinds. We are blessed to have such an amazing support group that what ever the results are we will be o.k....... results will be in at 4:00....

1/11/08 Results ...The cancer is still there, the positive side is that it is getting smaller. We will have to wait a month and make a decsion to have surgery or wait longer and hope that it shrinks more. It is kinda interesting cause Steve and I don't have much emotion about it. I didn't even cry this time cause I just don't care anymore and really want this to be over. I'm sure once I realize what is going on it will hit me and I will cry and be frustrated. Well friends and family we love you and will keep you posted. I tell ya never a dull moment for the white family :)

Learning to love books!!!

I'm NOT a big book reader at all, so I have decided to dive into "inside my heart". Santa got it for me for Christmas... I'm excited because I have heard lots of people say this is a great book so here we go. So far I have enjoyed her spunky personality and I love her great energy that she has for life and how she gained it.

I'm also excited to study the book of Mormon this year which I will be teaching in Gospel Doctrine. Yikes!! I love to read the stories of the prophets see there amazing testimonies and love for the lord. What great examples of faith and hope they are to me while they overcame trials and tribulation. I hope and pray it strengthens my testimony and I can only grow from reading.

Happy New Year!!!!

Steve and I brought in the new year with our friends Lauren and Adam Towers. We ate at Yamoto Steak House and enjoyed them cooking in front of us and being served, no cleanup for us yeah! Next we went to the movie National Treasure, we really liked it, fun date night movie!

Then we ended the night with dessert & appetizers at Gainesville Ale House. We had the captain jack treasure... how fit for the movie we just watched ;). Overall the night was great, eating, laughing, and bringing in the new year with great friends. What a great end 2007 and a fun beginning for this new year ahead!

Hunter had his own party.. we took him over to the Towers house and he played with his buddy Gordon and his two sisters Molly and Maggie. They had fun playing, he told me in the morning that he ate pizza. Lauren and I thought it was so cute when we got home they were all in one room snuggled up together. We hope you ALL had a fun and safe new years eve and have a great year ahead.

Visiting Santa!

Steve and I took Hunter to the mall to see Santa Clause last week and as you can see Hunter was trying to climb over the rail instead of go around it, he was so full of energy, he loved checking out the reindeer move so we thought o.k. we will try it out and get a family photo... Hunter sat still we were surprised... After it was done being our turn, someone else came and we were trying to leave and Hunter took off running in the middle the picture back to Santa... never a dull moment in the White Family....
