FHE Tonight... Journey in the wilderness

Hunter boy spent the afternoon digging a hole...no exaggeration... he was determined to have a fire tonight with s'mores.

So for FHE, Steve and I decided to go along the lines of the scriptures we have been reading and 

apply what Hunter has been doing.

We shared the story about Lehi and his family in the wilderness and how they had to build fires to cook there food, live in tents hunt for food.

He was so surprised that they didn't have wii's, T.V.'s, all the toys he has.

Hunter wanted to be like Nephi and 
find his sticks and build away.  It was the cutest thing.  

(of course he wasn't willing to give up the "fire starter" - LOL)

1 Ne 3:7

   ‘I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commanded them.’

Collecting moss, sticks and large wood.

 It was the perfect Family Home Evening.

Hunter wants to be like Nephi and obey Heavenly Father.
